Meet the Artist: Kendra Brown
In 1995 I graduated from the Columbus College of Art and Design with a Bachelors of Fine Arts. Life brought me to the Washington, DC area where I was a founding member of Art-O-Matic, an all-volunteer run arts exhibition featuring artists and performers from the Washington, DC area. I taught ceramics to all ages of people and taught summer arts programs for children while showing three-dimensional mixed media work and two-dimensional drawings in small local galleries. Eventually I found my way into nonprofit fundraising and greatly enjoyed a 20 year career working for advocacy, arts, and education non-profits. Today I am working as a full-time artist, parent, community volunteer, gardener, runner, crafter, and all-around bad-ass.
